Vince — Autonomous AI Chief of Staff

An always-on AI chief of staff. It maps every responsibility in your life, shows your load as one number against the hours you have, and follows through on the rest — over iMessage, a dashboard, Claude Code chat and your Mac.

2026-10 — Present

Key Highlights

  • Always-on agent: headless Claude Code on Fly.io, with Cursor and Codex CLI fallback
  • One zod-typed registry of 44 tools served over MCP: agent, Claude Code and dashboard share one interface
  • Postgres as the agent's OS: RLS everywhere, leader-election leases, and a human 'yes CODE' gate before anything is sent
  • Self-improving: runs coding jobs in fresh worktrees and opens PRs against itself
  • 38 PRs merged in 3 days, under 782 tests and 8 CI pipelines

Overview

Vince (Latin for "conquer!") is an autonomous chief of staff. It reads your inboxes, calendar and texts, turns asks and promises into tasks, shows your load as one number against the hours you actually have, helps you shed what doesn't fit — and follows through on the rest. You reach it over iMessage, a PWA dashboard at [vince.computer](https://vince.computer), Claude Code chat, and a Mac app that can drive the computer.

Architecture

  • The agent runs headless Claude Code on Fly.io (two machines, one leader via a Postgres lease), falling back to the Cursor and Codex CLIs.
  • One tool registry. 44 zod-typed tools — email, calendar, Drive, texts, memory, reminders, coding jobs — are served over MCP, so the agent, Claude Code and the dashboard all call the same interface. Nothing can drift.
  • Postgres as the operating system. Supabase holds the rules, queues and leases: RLS on every table, an epoch fence on every send, and a SQL gate that holds email, texts and code until a human replies "yes CODE".
  • The edge. A Cloudflare Worker (Hono) handles account connections, webhooks and Web Push.
  • The Mac body. Built on the open-source Plip notch agent: it points, types, opens apps, and scans iMessage for promises to file as tasks — on-device.
  • Self-improvement

Vince learns new skills without a deploy, and can rebuild itself: it runs coding jobs as Claude Code in fresh git worktrees and opens pull requests against its own repo, gated by the same human approval as everything else.

    By the numbers

  • 38 PRs merged in the first 3 days (Oct 20–22, 2026)
  • 782 TypeScript tests, 8 GitHub Actions pipelines, 19 migrations
  • Forked from [Ingenium](/projects/ingenium), built at Hacklanta '26.
